The purpose of the regulations is to keep with the feeling and character of the Bethel Cemetery while moving forward in a way that is aesthetically pleasing and functional. These Rules apply to the First Addition of Bethel Cemetery. Any changes to existing plots or lots of original cemetery must be approved by the Board.
Plot/Lot Availability:
Burial plots will be sold in sequence beginning on the easterly side of the Bethel First Addition and moving westerly, Section by Section.
Urn lots will be sold beginning on the northerly border and. Thereafter, lots will be sold sequentially, Section by Section.*
Rules Regarding Decorations:
No fences of any kind
No planting of vegetation (trees, shrubs, flowers, etc)
No rocks used as markers or decorations
Decorations need to be removed after two weeks to allow for cemetery maintenance
Hand digging is encouraged. When this is not possible, small machinery can be used. Machinery with rubber tracks and tires only.
Any damage done will need to be repaired.
Re-sod or reseed the disrupted ground as soon as weather permits.
Any extra soil is to be removed and ground leveled
Any special requests need to be submitted in writing to the board for approval
